Don’t panic! Just scroll. Keep scrolling.
Keep scrolling. Scroll past the endlessly
crescendoing pressure. It’s there, but
you kind of forget it while you keep scrolling.
Keep scrolling. Keep scrolling down into the
bottomless bottom of your screen til the
garish glare of the undead crowds
fades to the edge of your awareness.
Plunge into the depths of your abundant
ocean of pixelated distraction, sinking
deep to hide from the depression that
seeps out of every crack in your world.
Sink down until you sort of forget the
oozing black slime that smears
inevitably over the surface of your Earth.
Keep scrolling til your mind is
burned numb by the overstimulation,
ground into a retarded blunt tool.
Keep scrolling. Keep scrolling. Keep
scrolling until your mind merges with
the device and you begin to think the
thoughts being Newsfed to you. Keep
scrolling til theres nothing left but
backlight and nobody home. Notice
how the panic is gone, or don’t,
because you’ve forgotten that you’ve
forgotten about it. So just keep scrolling.
Keep scrolling til the world disappears
and the wool becomes your eyes. Keep
scrolling til you forget that you’re blind.
